ABC Insurance, part of the LV= Group, today announced that its private car insurance policy is now available on the Open GI system, currently used by 40% of the general insurance broker market.

The car insurance policy was launched exclusively to the broker market in September 2007 and is a full cycle EDI product. It is also currently available through two other leading broker software houses, SSP and CDL. 

Brokers have a choice of two products both offering the same level of cover, but the broker will have the option of choosing a lower commission level, passing the benefit to the customer in the form of a cheaper price. The policy cover includes, as standard, physical assault benefits as a result of ‘road rage' and ‘car jacking'.
